Dawn

In Life on November 23, 2006 by Pino

This morning there was a strange light in the sky of Berlin.
In the S-Bahn, I was sitting in front of a curious old woman, dressed like both a model and an homeless, with a fashionable dog and a weird black cap: she got out at Savignyplatz and disappeared…
Zoologisher Garten wasn’t busy as usual, but a lot of workers were changing the tracks at the platform 4.
On the way to the Tiergarten station I noticed people walking through the park: a peaceful picture in my mind. Straße des 17. Juni provided me a nice view of the skyline: the Siegessäule in foreground, the Fernseherturm, the Berliner Dom, the Brandeburger Tor and Potsdamerplatz in the background.
After a couple of minutes we reached the new Hauptbahnhof where a lot of people were waiting on the platform 14 for the IC to Amsterdam, today 15 minutes late.
But Friedrichstraße was much more surprising: it was simply desolated…
After crossing the Spree river we reached Hackesher Markt and it was time for me to get out and go working. Another day has begun.
